Ingredients:
- 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
- 1/4 cup shelled pistachios
- 1 cup plain yogurt (Greek yogurt or dairy-free yogurt for vegan option)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp seed powder or nuts
- 1 cup coconut water or almond milk
- A handful of ice cubes (optional)
- Chopped pistachios for garnish
Instructions:
- Peel and pit the ripe avocado.
- Shell the pistachios if they're not already shelled.
- If using fresh spinach, rinse it thoroughly. If using frozen spinach, thaw it slightly.
- In a blender, combine the ripe avocado, shelled pistachios, spinach leaves, plain yogurt, honey or maple syrup (if using), ground cardamom, ground cinnamon, and coconut water or almond milk.
- If desired, add a handful of ice cubes for a colder and thicker smoothie.
- Blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a little more coconut water or almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup.
- You can also adjust the amount of cardamom and cinnamon according to your taste preferences.
- Pour the avocado pistachio smoothie into glasses.
- Garnish each glass with chopped pistachios for added texture and presentation.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the creamy goodness
