Intermittent fasting (IF) is a dieting technique that involves restricting food intake to certain times of the day. The practice has been around for centuries and has recently gained popularity in the health and fitness community.
It is believed that fasting during Shravan helps to cleanse the spirit and soul of all negativity, which is stored in our mind and body. Fasting also helps us to become more conscious about our thoughts and actions, which we otherwise ignore during this month.
How to intermittently fast during shravan ?
Intermittent fasting (IF) means having periods of time where you don’t eat or drink anything at all. It can be done on an everyday basis or as long as you want. Some people do IF every day while others only do it a few times a month. It really depends on how long you want to fast and how much weight loss you want to achieve along with good health benefits too!
One of the ways in which we can achieve intermittent fasting without disturbing our lifestyle is by the 16/8 method.
16/8 fast : In this type, you eat only during an eight-hour window and fast for 16 hours. The 16/8 intermittent fasting type is the easiest type to follow because it doesn't require much thought or effort. You just have to stick to your diet plan and schedule. The idea behind this method is to give your body a break from fasting by eating a lot of carbs and protein rich foods. The reason behind this method is that it helps boost your metabolism and keeps your body burning calories even when you are not eating anything.
The best thing about this diet plan is that it helps in weight loss because it keeps your metabolism high which means that you will be burning more calories than usual even though you don't eat anything.
