1. Myth: Allow your child to eat whatever he wants.
Truth: As they get older, children become more picky and specific about what they like and don't like to eat. While some parents may find this frustrating, it is very likely that if you allow your children to eat whatever they want, they will tend to be drawn toward unhealthy packaged snacks. Make healthy eating habits enjoyable for them as well. This will assist the children in developing healthier eating habits.
2. Myth: Allergenic foods should not be given to children.
Truth: Common allergenic foods such as nuts, milk products, eggs, and so on are not harmful to your children unless they are allergic to them. Many children eat these foods on a daily basis and have no adverse reactions to them for the rest of their lives! If your child develops a skin rash, redness, or stomach upset after eating certain foods, you should consult a paediatrician and have your child tested before eliminating any food items from their diet.
3. Myth: My child gets all of his nutrients from a health drink powder mix mixed with milk.
Truth: If you look closely at the ingredients, you will notice that the sugar content in most brands exceeds the upper limit. The real health benefits that children receive from drinking it may come from the milk itself. They simply improve the taste of milk. There are always better options, such as milkshakes.
4. Myth: Sugar causes hyperactivity in children.
Truth: The sugar-hyperactivity myth is based on a single study that was later removed. Many studies have been conducted since then, but none of them have been able to prove it. It is definitely preferable to limit your child's simple sugar intake to avoid cavities and early health problems. You should not, however, keep it at zero.
5. Myth: If your child rejects a food, he should not be given it again.
Truth: Disliking a particular food can have a variety of causes. That doesn't mean they'll never eat it again. After a few days or weeks, the food can be reintroduced. If the child continues to dislike that particular food, it can be used in other dishes.
